The format is the same format that I use in my dye book, "Dyeing by the Numbers." The formula is designed for 1./2 yard of Dorr natural wool. The smaller piece of wool is the formula My Favorite from the book.
This is one of my favorite color combinations and to look at the raw wool,
your first reaction is "They don't go." In fact, this is what the majority
of the students say when I suggest this color combination. It was used in
"Queen Anne Rose"
and "Square
Pocketfull." See close-up. Because the colors are a bit
off, they add energy and excitement to the hooked piece.
