Favorite Studio Equipment
When I posted pictures of my
studio I received a lot of questions about my shelving units. I soon realized that this is
another area where I struggled in the beginning. Here are a few of my
favorite things that I use in my studio or during dyeing.

Shelving
These modular units are available from Target. I've used
approximately 10 units for my studio. You can see them in use below.
Allows light and air to circulate (the moths hate that) and they are just
the right size.
They are $19.99 but I often find them on sale for $14.99. |

Sweeper
Imagine a sweeper that is extremely lightweight, cordless and you don't
have to crawl around on your hands and knees to use it. This sweeper
is awesome. I use it downstairs as much as I use it in the studio.
It picks up pennies, dog food, safety pins, Samson's dog hair and wool
snippits.
The battery charge lasts for a long time so if I forget to plug it in it still works
for several days.

Kitchen Kettle
When I dyed, I reserved a burner to keep boiling water on hand.
With this $10 item from Wal-Mart, I can dye more batches at once and the
boiling water is available much sooner. I also take the pot to rug
camps to boil hot water for tea in my room.
